Vinyl Graphics |
Dry procedure |
| 1. On a solid flat
surface, burnish the tape over the vinyl to ensure good adhesion to the
transfer tape. NOTE: If there is a border around the graphic cut it off, the border is cut with the graphic to help hold down the transfer tape in place during handling and transportation. |
| 2. IMPORTANT: Clean the surface the vinyl is to be applied to. | ||
3. Position the graphic in the desired location, measure at least twice. Use Masking tape on one edge of the graphic to secure it in the location you have chosen. This will also create a hinge at one side of the graphic. |
| 4. Fold the graphic back at the hinge line you just made and remove the backing from the vinyl. | ||
| 5. While holding the graphic off the surface it is being applied to. Work from the hinge line with a squeegee down the graphic to adhere it to the surface it is being applied to. | ||
| 6. Again burnish the vinyl graphic to the surface it is being applied to, then at a step angle carefully remove the transfer tape. | ||
Wet procedure |
| 1. Similar to the procedure above, Clean the surface thoroughly. We recommend Rapid Tac for cleaning and application. | ||
| 2. Spray the surface being applied to with Rapid Tac. | ||
| 3. Remove backing from vinyl | ||
| 4. Place the graphic in position, the Rapid Tac will allow it to be slid around to position or removed to reposition if necessary. | ||
| 5. Once you are happy with the
location, squeegee out the liquid. This will cause the vinyl to
adhere to the applied surface. NOTE: You will no longer be able to reposition of move the vinyl. |
| 6. Again spray the top of the transfer tape with Rapid Tac to assist in transfer tape removal. | ||
| 7. Wait 60 to 90 seconds and carefully remove the transfer tape. | ||
